Expanded product range of SEMI-FLEXIBLE MINI-ENDOSCOPES
In the field of ENDOSCOPY we have considerably
expanded our product range of SEMI-FLEXIBLE MINI-ENDOSCOPES. These exceptionally
thin and flexible endoscopes are used in different fields of application:
-
Arthroscopy
Applications in small joints, such as in the field of hand surgery or treatment of carpal canal syndrome -
Paediatrics
such as Cysto- and Uretroscopy, as well as Resectoscopy -
Laparoscopy
Puncture or dilatation under sight and diagnostic laparoscopy
Semi-flexible mini endoscopes with a diameter of 2.0
mm are especially advantageous for those applications. They only require a
small access, can be easily guided thanks to their flexibility and are
considerably less susceptible to break than conventional rod lens endoscopes.
Thanks to the minimal invasiveness new fields of application open up while some
contraindications relativize.
As one of the leading manufacturers of such thin
endoscopes, Schölly offers the 2.0 mm endoscopes in different working lengths
of both 0° and 30° direction of view. The image quality of the mini endoscopes
is almost the one of rod lens endoscopes; although, in comparison, they have
longer product life times and thus few costs of ownership. They are
autoclavable and available with different sheath and trocar systems.
