AESCULAP cooperates with SCHÖLLY in 3D visualization

Aesculap AG, Tuttlingen and Schölly Fiberoptic GmbH, Denzlingen are pleased to announce a cooperation in the field of endoscopic 3D-visualization systems.
 
In the past few years, Schölly Fiberoptic focused on R&D activities for 3D-Technology. Today, the company is a leading manufacturer of 3D optic solutions in laparoscopic surgery. Schölly presented the Einstein Vision System for the first time at EAES 2011 in Turin. Einstein Vision offers excellent 3D Full HD image quality, owing to state-of-the-art optical, electronic and mechanical technologies. Surgeons are delighted by the superior 3D depth perception which delivers a natural way of seeing into laparoscopic surgery and feel instantly comfortable with the ergonomic features without any learning curve.
 
Aesculap will be in charge for marketing and sales activities for Einstein Vision System in the future. With this important portfolio extension Aesculap strengthens the whole laparoscopic product line, with special focus on the segment of visual systems. This includes camera, light source and documentation technology. The upcoming commitment is a further step for the sustainable positioning of Aesculap as innovative provider in endoscopic technology.

The next presentation of Einstein Vision will take place at the congress of the ‘Societé Internationale d’Urologie’ (SIU) from October 16 – 19, 2011 in Berlin, Germany.
