4 new apprentices, 6 apprentices have been taken over – Schölly is consistently committing to its junior staff
To their first step into working life the SCHÖLLY FIBEROPTIC GMBH welcomed four new apprentices at the headquarter in Denzlingen beginning of the month. Thus the manufacturer of innovative visualization systems for endoscopy trains currently a total of 19 apprentices in 6 professions what corresponds to an apprenticeship quota of 7%.
Urs Wopperer started his apprenticeship as an IT Specialist in the special field of system integration on 1st September. Sabrina Jund and Biagio Scalisi are trained at Schölly as industrial clerks and Stefan Schneider started his apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic.
In the line of the apprenticeship activities Schölly got involved for the first time additionally in apprenticeship association of Waldkirchs Employment and Qualification company mbH (WABE). After practical assignment within the company the first apprentice has been taken over after successful degree which confirms the success of the association encouraging young people.
Besides the 16 company trainers the mentors advise and actively support the new apprentices since several years. These mentors are apprentices who are in second and third apprenticeship year. They support the new apprentices so that they have a good start and quick integration in the teams of different departments.
Furthermore it is kind of a tradition at Schölly that the apprentices are being offered a position after having finished their apprenticeship successfully. Also the graduating class of 2011 has been taken over completely. Already in August, the management and trainers have congratulated the graduates on their passed final apprenticeship examination. Thanks to the impressing attainments of the apprentices and engagement of the trainers, very good degrees were achieved. At the end of the celebration a little gift as a memory to the time of apprenticeship was handed over. At the same time, a new period with new duties and responsibilities started for the professionals: Vera Becherer and Cansu Sengel work now in the Internal Logistics, Alena Sillmann and Sabrina Murst in the Team Assistance, whereas Heike Schneider and Christian Brendler have taken over tasks in the Shipping Department and Production.

For 2012 there are still apprenticeship training positions vacant for the jobs as an industrial clerk, industrial mechanic, as well as logistics technician.
